The Exodus
For the several past years, the migration crisis has been a hot topic, but Eastern Europe has been scarcely mentioned in this context. Motivated by bad politics, low wages and high corruption, every day, hundreds of Eastern Europeans decide to leave their homeland in hope of having a better tomorrow somewhere in Western Europe.
And while they know the answer to why they are leaving, many questions still remain.

Does my life fit into one bag?
Everyone is leaving, but will anyone come back?
Does the sun really shine brighter in the West?
(People waiting for their visa in front of the German Embassy)
Why are our streets empty? And why is everything closed?

Was the one-way ticket a good idea?

Why are there so many empty tables in our classrooms?

And ... who is going to stay?

To the millions of brave people who had to leave their homes and loved ones behind, in hope of a better future.
